I made this cake for one of my best friends on her 25th birthday. Unfortunately her big birthday plans fell through because her and her 1 1/2 year old son got sick. I hope this little cake was able to cheer her up!
And here I am with the birthday girl, Carissa!

A mistake made into a delicious treat!
While baking the monkey cake I had made a minor mistake. I let the pan cool completely. So, only half of the cake came out of the pan, leaving the other half sticking to the bottom. Instead of throwing away a perfectly delicious cake I decided to crumble it up and make CAKE BALLS! These little treats are as delicious as they are pretty! We can't keep our hands off them. Just goes to show that sometimes mistakes are meant to be...

Soon to be monkey cake....
This cake has a lime green background with purple and brown circles. My friend who had this cake made for a baby shower will be adding her own little monkeys to it. Hopefully I can post a picture of the fully finished cake, monkeys and all!

Happy Birthday to you...
I made this cake for my friend Rachelle's birthday. I thought the little curly Q's made the cake a little more festive for a birthday cake.

Purple and Brown Bows
Adorably cute purple and brown baby shower cake with bows. This cake gave me some trouble, I think I just started the day on the wrong foot and it continued with the cake. Besides the few obstacles this cake turned out adorable.

Fall themed cake
Birthday cake I did with a fall theme, hence the fall colored leaves. This was another red velvet cake with buttercream filling and my first purchased cake. So that is really exciting. Wow, I can't believe I pulled off three cakes this weekend. A lot of work but also a lot of fun and some great practice. Can't wait to do the next one!
Baby shower cake
This cake was for a baby shower I helped throw. It was almost too pretty to cut into. So, its a good thing it tasted delicious. The cake was red velvet with a cream cheese filling. When I first started doing the white lace I wasn't happy with the way it looked, but as soon as I put the bow and "K" on it all came together. Very pretty!
